Instructions for Handling, Assembling
and
Dressing Flexible Mannequins
HANDLING
The flexible mannequin is very similar to a human being. The folding points are the
neck, lumbar area, elbows, thighs and knees. Other flexible areas which are more
delicate are the fingers, wrists and feet. The maximum recommended folding angle
is 45°. Be careful not to spread the fingers or the legs too far otherwise the
foam may tear.
ATTACHING THE ARMS
Before attaching the arms lubricate the brass fitting
and inside the shoulder area with machine oil or silicone spray. Be careful not
to get any lubricant on the mannequin. Firmly hold the mannequin around the
shoulder and push the brass fitting into the shoulder area until it snaps in.
DRESSING THE MANNEQUIN
Insert the arms into the sleeve of the garment from the cuff. This will
prevent damaging the fingers.
TAKING CARE OF THE SURFACE
We recommended applying a protective coating on the velvet, and to repeat
the application after each use or display change. Regular dusting with a magic
brush and/or a vacuum cleaner is required. For heavier cleaning use a light detergent and a
sponge. Lightly rub the affected area with a downward motion. Let dry and apply
a protective coating for a longer life and better appearance of the product. Be careful of such things as oil, grease and
paint which cannot be cleaned. Also avoid applying adhesive tape to the surface.
CARE OF THE FLEXISKIN FINISH
Flexiskin is a thin 1/4" vinyl coating that is more water repellent than the
standard flocked finish.
Use a regular household cleaner and a sponge. It is recommend to spray water
repellent on the product for greater life span.
MINOR REPAIRS
Torn or ripped areas can be repaired by yourself. You may purchase a glue
for foam to foam products or contact your Distributor.
To glue parts together use an artist brush or spatula and apply into the area to
be glued. Let dry, then pinch the area.
